Outine After the sudden death of the president of the Hotel Seoul, the hotel management not only have to struggle with day-to-day problems, but also thwart the aggressive takeover attempt by the hotel’s rival Jin Fu Wan. In order to takeover the hotel, Jin Fu Wan hired the merger and acquisition expert Shin Dong Xian from US to be in-charge of the case. On the other hand, Hotel Seoul enlisted an ex-hotel employee Han Tai Jun for the position of hotel head manager in the attempt to save the hotel. Not only Dong Xian and Tai Jun are rivals for the hotel, they are also love rivals in love. Their common love interest happened to be one of the hotel managers - Xu Zhen Yin. At the same time, Jin Fu Wan’s daughter, Jin Yun Xi, has developed a love interest in Tai Jun, and started working as a waitress in the hotel. This MBC drama of 20 episodes evolved around the lives of these people working for and against the success of the hotel.
Character analysis Dong Xian is a Hotel Merger and Acquisition (M&A) expert. Born in Korea, he has been abondoned by his father and brought up by his foster parents in US. From the exterior, this Harvard graduate is an intelligent, cold person who has no interest in life other than money. In the interior, he is a lonely man who longed to be understood. Han Tai Jun is a trusted employee at the Hotel Seoul. He was forced to leave the hotel 3 years ago because of a scandal. After the president of Hotel Seoul’s death 3 years later, Tai Jun was being re-called to save the hotel from a take-over. He is a warm and responsible person, who is well-liked by friends and colleagues. On one hand, he is still secretly in love with Zhen Yin. On the other hand, he has to cope with a much younger Yun Xi, who has expressed her love for him. Xu Zhen Yin is a young, dedicated manager of Hotel Seoul. She was in love with Tai Jun before he left for US. She was rejected by Tai Jun 3 years later. At this moment, Dong Xian started to express his love for her. She has to make the tough choice between her loyalty towards Hotel Seoul and the love for Dong Xian. Jin Yun Xi is the daughter of Jin Fu Wan. Her mother has committed suicide when she was young, and she resented her father for it. She does not have much interest in life nor studying. After being twice saved by Tai Jun, she started to develop an interest in him. Because of the vast age difference, Tai Jun has trouble accepting her love, but she has persisted. |
