My Cousin.........that one has the leading couple in a dual role......

and Alec gets to put on a tiny little mustache...........and owlish glasses...
he still looked like he's play acting........

But the music of the little drama was memorable.......
it invokes alot of romance and memories........
a little like Winter Sonata........there were alot of flashbacks......

All those who watched it........might remember the very fast number that Alex karaoked at the nightclub........
that number was one of his "Little Tigers' hit.........called "Happy Forever"....

Anyone here is a "Little Tigers" fan?

Alec is Charming and sweet..........very boyish.......

He has his own appeal..............and can sing.......
Ernest, endearing and humble.........nevertheless he is cheeky and like to have fun.......not afraid to tell you he's a normal guy......

He is also quite a perfectionist........

His acting normally improves as he goes along.......tho script wise he really does not have much say,

After the success of HZKK.........he was one of the most sought after actors this side of the Eastern Skies.......

Tho he is just a year younger then BYJ...............BYJ looks more mature....

Alec never seems to grow old............However he has been in showbusiness since he was 14 years old....(he was a teeny boober super star at that time)....He is a vetern of showbusiness for over 16years........compared to BYJ's 11 years.

He would have his following of fans.......

Gurly, these are some of MY opinions about Alec Su that made me love him.

Alec Su is already at his thirty right now ... he will be 31 years old this September ..... Embarassed

He is a baby face guy.

Everything about Alec Su Seems Normal & Regular ..... i see you compare him with BYJ. I think every actor has each own personal touch , I love and adore BYJ ;; However, if I see both of them ,, they are very different .... in a point that, I see BYJ always looks so professional , the way he talks, walks, everything ... ..... I see Alec as Guy who just look so Freely, #Silly

Doesn't Look like he care so much about Style this and that ,,,,, Cute and Sweet. Alec ,in my point of view, Down to Earth man ,, Some of His Commercial Ads and His Pose for Photo Session Looks Very Natural ,, That's what I mean about His Free Flowing and Innocent Style Cool

His Acting Skill .... He already acted in so many movies and long series ,,,, he even have experience acting in several Ancient and type of martial art series. Wink

Which some said acting in Martial Art Ancient Series has a bit more different kind of difficulty level than regular drama movie.

His acting is not as good as His Singing, though. wistle

When you get a chance , Gurly, You should hear and listen to some of his songs. Most of them are very good songs and His capability to sing is not just developed recently. He has been singing since he was teenager, so that right now, His Singing is trully A Sound of Professional Singer. well done

LAST but not LEAST ..... I like the kind of commitment he makes toward his career ... ALTHOUGH HE LOOKS VERY FREELY BUT HE TAKES HIS CAREER AND WORKS VERY SERIOUSLY . For example : In period of one year ,,, he can have one CD album made , 2 or 3 movie series , and some other short projects. He really spoils his fans through his continuous works. Very Happy

Recca....you forgot to mention.....Alec is a Virgo......same as BYJ.....

Perfectionist!!!!....

and its hard to forget Alec's birthday.........September 11.... Shocked

During the filming of drama"Romance in the Rain" in Shanghai, China.........massive amount of fans ........invaded the filming locations.....
Fans flooded the Shanghai Post office.......with parcels for him.....
addressed simply as " Alec Su, Shanghai , China"......

It was to the credit of The Postal Authorities in Shanghai.........that all the parcels/mail was properly forwared to Alec in Shanghai......despite the incomplete address.........
(of course, how could they not know who/where the "Fifth Prince" is in Shanghai)

Alec was very well known and beloved thru out Greater China........... with leigons of fans.........so much so .....I believe he got a house in Shanghai as he was practically in China for most of the year.....filming.....

Actually..............the real Alec is nerdy..........he wears very nerdy glasses...... Shocked

His voice is really something...........
Tis very distinctive.........and deep........
and boy ......can he emote.........

Daybee.........you listened to his "Love Letter"?
its so quiet...you can hear a pin drop.....it creates a "space" so personal
as he wishes you good nite.....

On the other scale........I was startled to listen to him sing in Cantonese, and there was this very very very fast number ...........(if I was to sing it it would come out gibberish!!)

Its quite unlike his speaking voice.........which is heavy with Taiwanese accent......

NOW you got me started.....

I went to dust off the albums.......

Greatest hits album"Understanding" was released same time as His First solo album in recent years "Are you Happy?"

This was a huge marketing ploy by WEA records (the company which ceeded the dufunct recording company which own the right to all of Alec and Little Tigers album.) which means that there were no pressings of Alec's earlier albums in the market at all.....
THIS represent the ONLY available collection of that......

WEA Records cashed in on ALEC's sudden rise to fame again thru his acting career.....especially when there is a whole generation of new fans just discovering that ALEC CAN SING??....and is releasing a solo album??

Understandably Alec's new record company Skyhigh Music was not too pleased with that.....

You see from the HIGHs of being in a super boyband ....he plunged into
obscurity when it was over..........
To the graveyard for boybands........
No one predicted that he will make a comeback......least of all as an actor....

Now ....he is hearing the applause all over again.......
He promised himself, he will not take that for granted again....(the first time round he was only 15 and success had come so swift and so easily...)

"Understanding" was the only way ......the old songs would get an airing.

However it will not include his Two Cantonese albums because the rights were owned by WEA Hongkong(a seperate entity). His foray into Hongkong was not considered successful.
Songs included cover versions for his original Mandarin hits.....
He actually sung a theme song for one of the HK variety shows.....
(think it was fronted by Lydia Sum, not so sure)

By now..........you must be wondering how the heck I knew so much...

tat was because I was trying to hunt down all the albums.........and it was very tough going.........
Firstly you must know who produced it and start the search....
it was a big blow to know.........the recording company was defunct........

I pestered HMV Singapore.............so they got some ex stocks over from Hongkong.....
the albums sort of "tickle" in bit by bit.......

Anyone here happen to have a collection of "Little Tigers" album?

When Alec came over for the promo of his new album........
His recording representatives were adamant that Alec will not be signing on the rival "Understanding" album.......

So fans had to have a copy of his new album available for autograph.......

the ironic bit was.......
Enterprising shop keepers had the cheek to arrange for huge displays of Understanding album at the location..........(the sales was very brisk!!)
Much to the ire of the organisers...........the new recording company.....

You all know that Alec was much sought after......
He was wooed by alot of agencies and recording companies.....
He changed labels again ....after the 2 years recording contact was almost up...........
Seems Andy Lau's management company decided to "buy the Goose that lays golden eggs".....and made him an offer he could not refuse....

He was the FIRST artiste signed up for this new jaggernaut agency set up by Andy Lau........it made headlines.......when they "bagged" him.....

So now you all know what Moi was doing in the year 2000.

I was learning MANDARIN!!....serious!..........
I had to read the Chinese news........which came in handy now.....in recounting that news of day at tat time......

The album is the second row , third album "1995"

Entitled" " In love with everything about you"

Playing it now..........

The musical arrangements is "different" for his other Mandarin release...
targeted to a more "mature crowd"...

Alec is very good in this one.......his Cantonese comes off rounder with his deep voice.....lending depth......
Mostly ballads.........
I always like the way Alec ........handles high notes.......he just flexes it in a manner.....his voice being vey "mallable'...and it goes over
the notes like a very silky river......

The was a MTV of the main song. too...........(on another LD)
Rememebr he was in this sexy red ..........sports car..........
singing his heart out.....

Oh yes.....cover version of his Mandarin hit including "Love letter" which got changed to "Rainy Day"

Realised ......he was only 21 at that time.......still evidence of puppy fat
on his face.....
but his voice is mature........

Good luck ........in your search........you might.........be able locate it if you go to old establishments.........
